Online applications for the 2026 Academic Year Postdoctoral Researcher Incentive Salary Program are scheduled to open on July 27, 2026. The application deadline is August 14, 2026 (Friday). Applicants are advised to download the required application forms and prepare all supporting documents in advance to ensure timely completion of the online application during the application period.

Applications are governed by the National Tsing Hua University Research Talent Resource Center Incentive Salary Implementation Guidelines for Postdoctoral Researchers (see attached). Applications are accepted once each academic year.

Eligibility:
Postdoctoral researchers currently employed at National Tsing Hua University.

Application Requirements:
Applicants must submit a recommendation letter from their faculty advisor. Each postdoctoral researcher may apply for only one category of the Incentive Salary Program per academic year. Applications that do not comply with the regulations will not be accepted.

Categories of Incentive Salary:
(1) Advisor-Matching Incentive Salary
Postdoctoral researchers whose faculty advisor commits to providing an additional monthly salary of at least NT$10,000 are eligible to apply during the application period. Applicants approved through the review process will receive a matching incentive salary of up to NT$20,000 per month, subject to the review results.
(2) Competitive Incentive Salary
Postdoctoral researchers whose faculty advisor does not provide additional salary support may apply during the application period. Applicants approved through the review process will receive an incentive salary of NT$10,000 per month.

Funding Period:
The incentive salary will be granted from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, subject to the recipient's actual employment period and the review results. Following approval, the incentive salary may be paid retroactively to August 1, 2026. Recipients wishing to continue receiving the incentive after the funding period must submit a new application and undergo another review.

Applicants who are currently receiving funding under the Research Talent Resource Center's Incentive Salary Program or Mini-Project Program must additionally submit a research progress report for the previous award year as part of their application.

As a general rule, the recommendation letter should be uploaded by the applicant through the online application system. If the faculty advisor prefers not to have the recommendation letter uploaded by the applicant, the advisor may send it directly to the Research Talent Resource Center via email at jytai@mx.nthu.edu.tw before the application deadline. Please indicate the applicant's name in the email to facilitate the review process.
