5. Required documents:
(1) CV and publication list of the principal investigator (combined into a single PDF).
(2) Research proposal for the project in which the candidate will participate (maximum 10 pages, PDF format).
(3) Approved budget list or signed contract for the project to be executed by the candidate (PDF format).
(4) The candidate's "Postdoctoral Researcher Profile Form" along with: ① a letter of recommendation, ② CV, ③ publication list, ④ three representative publication reprints, and ⑤ copies of academic and professional credentials (applicants who have not yet graduated may substitute a certification letter from their advisor) (combined into a single PDF).
(5) For candidates currently receiving a subsidy from the Office of Research and Development who are applying for reappointment, a research progress report from the previous appointment period is additionally required (template available on the Office of Research and Development website).
(6) Candidates must provide key review information in the "Postdoctoral Researcher Profile Form," including: English name as used in publications, Scopus ID, ORCID, h-index, FWCI, total number of publications, and total citation count.
6. Online application procedure:
Faculty applicants should log in to the University's Academic Information System → Office of Research and Development Information System → Information System Portal → Subsidy for Units and Faculty to Hire Postdoctoral Researchers, complete the application form, and upload the required documents.
7. Important notes:
(1) If an accepted candidate is unable to obtain a doctoral degree before the start date (August 1, 2026), the offer will be automatically voided.
(2) These guidelines were revised at the University Affairs Meeting on June 10, 2025, and the University Endowment Fund Management Committee Meeting on June 11, 2025.
a. Postdoctoral scholars appointed under these guidelines must hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate strong research performance; priority will be given to promising early-career researchers during review.
b. The base salary for postdoctoral scholars is determined by reference to National Tsing Hua University's Salary Schedule for Postdoctoral Researchers on Project Grants; however, due to budgetary considerations, the University subsidy is capped at Salary Level 5.
